Animals Group of Loreto Bay Volunteers-Kristen Winn:
kristenwinn@comcast.net.
Our focus is on helping animals and their owners in the Loreto and the Loreto Bay Community.
We support local animal owners by providing them with collars, leashes, tie-out trolleys, free
spay/neuter coupons and food. Our wish list includes collars, leashes, dog food, puppy food, cat food,
treats, and flea/tick medicine, distilled water, bleach, laundry soap, paper towels and
soft/hard-sided kennels. Please put all donations in the “animal” bin in the Community Center.
Loreto Bay Volunteers-Animals works hand-in-hand with SOAR (Support Oregon Animal Rescue).
SOAR raises funds to accomplish the following goals:
* Transport dogs/cats from Loreto to shelters in Portland
* Provide dog food for Ramon’s Families and Lucy’s Families
* Provide free spay/neuter coupons for Ramon’s Families
* Provide emergency medical funds for animals of Loreto.
Contact Kristen Winn kristenwinn@comcast.net or Dee Wise wisemove1@msn.com for more information
on volunteering, help at spay/neuter clinics, fostering dogs/cats, soaring and/or escorting dogs/or cats
to Portland or donating to our goals.

CARITAS
Caritas accepts cash donations to purchase food. Every peso goes towards feeding those less fortunate. We are always looking for volunteers to transport food and clothing to Loreto. Any time you can donate is greatly appreciated.

INTERNADO
Hola Kaz
I just arrived in Loreto Bay and realized that your website has information regarding volunteering at the
Internado. Unfortunately the Internado has closed this year, the school board (SEP) has taken over the
dormitory and land and will be building a future college or university on the site. I am so sad, I have
volunteered for the past 9 years and loved everyone of my kids. 💞
We are still continuing to track our children and provide scholarships to those in need. We had the pleasure
this August of seeing one of our “kids” get her Doctorate degree and is a Dentist.👋
I am hoping to find another focus that involves children, once I do I will update the web page.
Thanks for all your hard work keeping the Nopolo News site up and running, it is a great wealth of information.
Regards, Barbee

Thank you Barbee for all those many years to help those kids, your kids!
Hopefully there will be another avenue/place for the Internado to flourish again!

RAMON’S FAMILIES
Since 2011 Ramon's Families, a volunteer group based out of Loreto Bay, help destitute/in-need families that have “fallen through the cracks”. Distribution locations vary but generally are located at Miramar, Km 4 and other areas of the Loreto Community. Ramon and his wife Gloria keep track of families in need and distribute monthly. These items include furniture, clothes, shoes, all household, school supplies, blankets and food for children, adults, Seniors and their pets.
Donations can be dropped off in the Loreto Bay Community Center bins or contact Ramon directly via email, phone or in person at the Bahia Management office in Loreto Bay on the Paseo. With the help/donations from SOAR, dog food, Spay/Neuter information and Spay/Neuter vouchers are given out each time there is a Ramon's Families distribution. Contact ramon@bahiapm.net
