Mission of Loreto, Baja California Sur (1926)
"images of our history"
Special Edition:
This is one of the oldest and most emotive photos of the loreto mission, where we can't stop asking ourselves... who was this little one with a basket under his arm...??
If there was still this kid, he'd be 98 years old, something really hard.

Isla del Carmen in loreto, B.C.S. (1935)
"images of our history"
Old Pier Pier on Isla del Carmen located off the coast of loreto b.c.s.
Several mining carts were reached to appreciate in the image, there was a network of tracks routes for the transport of salt, apparently these mining carts were thrown by beasts. There is a beautiful story around this small town salinero on Isla del Carmen, where its facilities and houses still exist and there are visits controlled from Loreto, an excellent place to visit without doubt.

San Ignacio, Baja California Sur (1926)
"images of our history"
Of the ethnicity, Monica Murillo, preparing a basket a basket with bark fibers.
(the source described says that Monica is making a basket with fiber known as matacora, but I think it's two different plants, at least I personally know the torote that in some houses is used as a Christmas Tree, of a very pleasant aroma , and the matacora is a plant with a light-colored trunk and by hitting it, it springs the sap in reddish-color very similar to blood. Both are desert plants from our region.

Santa Rosalia B.C.S. "memories of the past" (1931)
"images of our history"
(Special Edition)
1931 Carnival in Santa Rosalia, this image caused me a lot of wonder when I look at it because I never imagined that the queen's tour would do it to the inside of the port dock, in this graphic we can appreciate the float with her and her Cut on board. Close to the beach of the port, to the extreme right of the right, the missing maritime customs building. We can also appreciate three bridges crossing the channel of Providence, two were for the passage of small train and one to cross people. What is appreciated in the foreground and to the right is the old drop of cabbage, Mesa Mexico, and several people coming down to witness the event.
At The Center of the scene there is a ramada where you will probably get beer, and last and to the bottom the presence of the unforgettable San Luciano Steamer, and behind the breakwater the huge German Sailboat Wandsbek, stuck on the side of the pier Since 1923.

Miraflores, Baja California Sur (1936)

From the series the eternal travelers in time
Hulbert Burroughs and Charles Shelton arriving in the picturesque town of miraflores, the goal was very close to the final end of the peninsula, its marathon adventure from California USA across the entire low, on the rugged gap was to arrive at the end.

Beaches of Rosarito, Baja California, (1915)
"images of our history"
An excellent image that puts us to reflect on the decrease of spices worldwide.
The image shows a lobster volcadero on beaches of Rosarito, Baja California. The enormous abundance of this species was the victim of a great overexploitation, the image is more than eloquent and leaves no doubt.
